Obituary For Nora Francis Moore

Mrs. Nora Francis Elmore Moore was born November 20, 1934, to the late Ben and Eartha Brown Elmore. She was the 2nd of eight siblings. As a child Nora accepted Christ and became a member of the Mt. Zion M.B. Church.

She attended the public schools of Attala County. Nora was married to the late Houston Moore. Together they were blessed with 5 children.

By trade Nora was a homemaker, housewife. She loved to cook and grow flowers.

For many years she had one of the best gardens in the community.

Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sisters, four brothers and four stepchildren.

Nora departed this life on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at the Specialty Hospital in Jackson, MS.

She is survived by her son, Sammie Lee (Topaz) Elmore, Kosciusko, MS; her sister, Leona Thomas, Chicago, IL; a special step daughter-in-law, Hattie Ken, Chicago, IL, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
