Sarah Catherine Towers Brown was born on June 21, 1937, to the late Velma Veasley and Edward Towers. The Middle child of three (Dolphus, Sarah and Herbert). She was later reared by the late Sam Brown, whom she affectionately called “Daddy". Her parents and her brother Herbert preceded her in death.
Sarah married David Brown March 5, 1963. They were married 54 years before his passing in 2017. To this union they added three children, Dwight, Priscilla and Barbara (Willie) Hutchinson. Sarah Joined Marble Rock M.B. Church at an early age and was a faithful member until her health failed.
While not an official member of the Kitchen Committee, she was called upon often to bring various dishes to all eating events (Homemade pound cakes and pecan pies were the favorites.) Her favorite things to do was working in the garden, caring for her flowers and cooking for her family.
After her health declined, she enjoyed watching cooking shows, Westerns and all the television pastors. She also enjoyed riding in the golf cart around her Son-in-law and daughter Barbara's property, enjoying nature.
She leaves to cherish her memories a son, Dwight and two daughters, Priscilla and Barabara (Willie) Hutchinson. Two brothers Dolphus (Paulette) Towers and Sam (Dorothy) Brown. One sister, Annie Sue Brown Green, One brother-in-law, James Brown. Two sister-in laws, Sarah Mae Hamilton and Mary Spivey. Three grandsons, Darrion (Nesha) Henderson, Terrell Hutchinson and Joseph Hutchinson. Four great grandchildren children, Hayden Henderson, Trenton Hutchinson, Tehiri Hutchinson and Liam Henderson. Two bonus great grands LayaMarie Turner and Ryan Smith, A host of Nieces and Nephews who affectionally called her “Auntie” and many cousins and friends.
Our Queen, God saw you were tired and weary and He said come on and take your rest. I have a beautiful garden for you to see, flowers you have never seen before. Love you MaMa.

Lavorris Gladney sent Beautiful Dreams for Sarah C. Brown - November 02, 2023
Asking GOD to wrap His loving arms of mercy around you and your family during this time.
From Lavorris, Sandra, and the Gladney family.
The family of Sarah Brown would like to express our deepest appreciation for your prayers, calls, visits, and all expressions of love. Special thank you to the doctors and nurses that took care of our mother as she was transitioning. For we know according to 2 Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. "God Bless each of you!"
My condolences and prayers to the family and friends ❤️ 🙏
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
