Mr. Westley Jamont Ashford, son of Cecil Jr. Ashford and the late Jackqueline Olive Ashford was born July 18, 1981, in Pascagoula, Mississippi at Singing River Hospital. He attended the public schools of Attala County School District attending Long Creek Elementary school and was a graduate of McAdams High School. He then worked along his father learning how to work on cars and trucks. He later became a diesel mechanic for Tyson Foods in Carthage, MS. At an early age he attended Faith Temple Pentecostal Church Mission with his mom and brothers.
Mr. Ashford loved to cook, work on cars and spend time with family. If you were looking for him, he was likely doing one of those things. Westley had a very kind spirit and pleasant personality; he was loved by many. He will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him. He departed this life Saturday, November 25, 2023, in Choctaw County, Mississippi.
His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his family. He is proceeding in death by his mother, Jackqueline Olive Ashford. He Leaves to cherish his memories his children son: Je'Karius Jermont Ashford adn daughter Jakayla Jamiyah Ashford; Father- Cecil Jr. Ashford of Kosciusko, MS; Brother: Cecil Derwood Ashford of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Reuben Ordel Ashford of Hennepin, Minnesota, Robert (Shameka) Lindsey Ashford of Flint Michigan, and Micah D. Ashford of Pipestone, Minnesota. Sisters: Kimberly (Frank) McCune of Middle, Tennessee, and Keisha Bowens of Canton, MS. A girlfriend, Monica Lawrence or as Westley called her my (Lil Lady). He also leaves a host of devoted nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
