Wilson Harvey Presley was born November 10, 1944, and Attala County, Mississippi, to the late Willie Oscar and Allie B. Wilson Presley. He was the eighth of nine children, six boys and two girls.
He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Buffalo United Methodist Church. He attended Tipton Street High School.
Harvey enlisted in the United States Army in 1968 and served his country for more than 2 years, where he served a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army.
Harvey began his civilian career as a construction worker. He formed his own company, WH Presley & Son Construction Company. He was a master bricklayer and subcontracted his skills to many companies in MS. He was very proud of his craft and was willing to show his work to his family, friends and everybody else.
Hid first marriage was to Ellan Love, and from this union two sons were born.
In 1970 he married Hazel Troy, and they had two sons from this union.
After relocating to Kosciusko, he joined Mt. Zion MB Church under the leadership of Rev. James Howell. He was an active member and served on the Trustee Board.
Harvey departed this life on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the Kosciusko VA Nursing Home, Kosciusko, MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Harvey Jr., and four brothers: Arthur Nelson, James Manual, Wayne, and Dr. Oscar Glenn Presley. Two sisters, Virginia Doris Presley-Gatling and Georgia Edna Presley-Robinson, and one granddaughter.
He leaves to cherish his memories: Four sons, Milton Presley of Chicago, IL, Marshall Glenn (Caprica) Troy of Fayetteville, NC, Michael Glenn (Tameko) Troy of Aberdeen, NC, and Dolphus (Amanda) Troy of West Salem, NC. Two daughters: Rev. Dr. Kim Troy (Gordon) Richardson of Greensboro, NC, and Karen (Desmond) Richardson of Hope Mills, NC. Two brothers: Issac (Mable) Presley of Chicago, IL, and Wimbott (Cathy) Presley of Marysville, IN. Seventeen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandsons. A very special friend, Bessie Moore, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
