The Obituary of Mr. Roosevelt Lewis Jr. December 24, 1952 - November 07, 2022

Roosevelt Lewis Jr. was born as the third child to the late Joyce Marie & Roosevelt Lewis Sr. in Phillip County, Elaine, Arkansas. He departed this life on November 7, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his aforementioned parents; son, Macklin Adams; one sister, Erma Lewis and two brothers, Dennis Haggins and Michael Mills. He accepted Christ at an early age. After his high school years, he relocated to Chicago, Illinois where he worked at Johnson & Johnson for over 20 years.

He was married to his estranged wife, Mary Dixon and to that union one child was born, Fonta Lewis. Roosevelt leaves to mourn two sons, Fonta Lewis of Chicago, IL and Khari (Shandra) Davis of North Charleston, NC; two daughters, Angel (Kevin) Johnson of Chicago, IL and Sydonia Vornes of West Memphis, AR; eight sisters, Vera (Mumbaye) N’Diaye and Brenda (Dwayne) Johnson of Little Rock, AR, Dorothy (Malvern) Ore of Jonesboro, AR, Joyce (Robert) McGill and Schron (Curtis) Harris of Scott, AR, Linda (Rodney) Fields of Marion, AR, Kim Mills of Decatur, IL; four brothers, Emmitt (Tribyee) Haggins of Winter Garden, FL and Curtis (Anita) Haggins of West Helena, AR, Elijah (Stephanie) Davis of Decatur, IL and Tim Lewis of Waco, TX; one aunt, Ella Jackson of Bloomington, IL and two uncles, Arthur Granville of Memphis, TN and Vernell Granville of Chicago, IL; a dedicated, dutiful and devoted brother and confidant, Frank Dixon Sr.; five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Roosevelt passed away on November 7, 2022 at 69 years old.

Visitation Details: Friday, November 11, 2022 from 5-7 pm at Wolfe Brothers Chapel, West Memphis

Funeral Details: Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 1pm, Wolfe Brothers
