Mother Josephine Reeves transitioned from this earthly life on Monday, August 16, 2021. Her funeral will be held 1:30PM on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Wells Memorial Church of God in Christ, with Dr. Herman Platt officiating. Visitations will start 30min prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. Woodard Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Donald and Evita Kendall, send our sincere condolences to the family. The Kendall family were neighbors with the Reeves, back in the 50's, in Williamsburg, Greenpoint Brooklyn. Her daughters would babysit us when my mother, (Bernice), had to work.
She was one of the most kind considerate and caring individuals in our village. May she rest in peace.

I use to drive mother Reeves to church with my mother (Daisy). She always had a word of encouragement for me. When my mother died in December 2020,she would call me often and tell me she loved me and appreciated me taking her to church.

Mother Reeves lived a life that would have been pleasing to God. May she rest in peace with her Heavenly Father. - Love Marsha

My condolences and prayers are extended to the family and friends of Mother Reeves. Mother Reeves was an amazing woman that showed pure and genuine love every time she saw me. She loved singing those old congregational songs that I grew up with. I'm truly going to miss her but I know God was pleased with her and we shall see each other again. Peace, Strength and Love...
