Mr. Eugene Howard Austin

My condolences to the family. Memories of Eugene Will be cherished.

Sending my sincerest condolences to the Austin family. May God grant you peace and comfort today, tomorrow and in days to come. May the happy memories you all made as a family, sustain you when your spirits need to be uplifted. Jusr think on the good tines, because certainly there were many. As for Eugene and I, we were classmates (JSHS C/O 1981) and eventually, family by marriage. I always thought of him as quiet and reserved, always grinning and smiling, a fierce and talented basketball player; however, I later learned he was quite a prankster. May he rest in peace. Remember that scripture tells us, "to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord."

My prayers are with you during this time of bereavement. My classmate's smile would light up a room. I recall the last time my husband and I spoke with him on the campus of NCATSU during Homecoming. He was so excited to see a fellow Cardinal classmate! I thank God for allowing us a few brief seasons to know, Eugene.
