Evelyn J. Jones departed this life on Saturday, March 14, 2020 in Greensboro, NC. Her funeral will be held 1:00PM at Woodard Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 20, 2020. Interment will follow in White Oak Grove Church Cemetery. Mrs. Jones will be open for viewing on Friday, March 20, 2020 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at Woodard Funeral Home.
She was the daughter of the late Banks Rudd and Evelyn Rudd was born on March 20, 1945 in Brown Summit, NC. Evelyn Jones attended both Popular Grove School and Brown Summit School. She was a loving wife, mother and friend.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by the loved of her life of 53 years, Albert Jones and one sister, Angela Rudd and two brothers, Melvin Rudd and Banks Rudd Jr.
Evelyn loved her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Rodrick Jones (Sandra) of Greensboro, NC; two daughters, Vernita Jones and LaVonda Jones both of Greensboro, NC; one sister, Dorothy Fox of Pistcatway, NJ; three brothers, Kelly Rudd (Virginia), Mark Rudd and Dennis Rudd all of Greensboro, NC; three brothers-in-law, Luther Jones, Jerry Jones (Linda) and Reginald Jones all of Greensboro, NC; 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Woodard Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
