Helene Seegars departed this life on April 4th, 2021 at 7:56pm. Her funeral will be held 2:00PM on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Woodard Funeral Home Chapel. Visitations will start 1hr prior to the service at the chapel.
She was a native of Greensboro, North Carolina, born on February 21, 1955 to the late Reverend Clyde Stephens and the late Betty Stephens. She made Greensboro her permanent residence where she had her two beloved sons.
As a youth Helene attended and graduated from Northeast High School. She went on to attend the illustrious North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where she received a B/A in Mass Communications and later attended Brookstone College where she received her certification in computerized accounting.
After college Helene worked several jobs, including serving as a certified nursing assistant at Moses Cone Hospital and Extended Care, an assistive living facility. Her longest tenure of employment was at AMP INC where she was employed for over 15 years as an inspector.
Helene was a very devoted to her family and looked forward to family gatherings with good food and good times. Most of all she made it her business to keep up with what everyone had going on. She especially adored watching the little ones of the family grow up and had a very special bond with many of her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her two brothers Clyde Stephens Jr. and John Stephens, and two sisters Catherine Stephens, and Christine Stephens.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Children: Brandon Seegars (Princess) of Greensboro, and Travis Seegars (Malaina) of Greensboro. Sisters: Emma Lester (Percy) of Reidsville, NC; Julia Jackson of Fresno CA; Barbara Staley of Greensboro, NC; Sylvia Stephens of Greensboro, NC; Carolyn Stephens of Greensboro, NC; and Thelma Headen of Greensboro, NC. Brothers: William Howard Stephens (Rose) of Phoenix, AZ and Herman Bobby Stephens of Greensboro, NC. She leaves behind seven amazing grandchildren: Aleesa, Jordan, Skylar, Travis Jr., Briley, Taylor, and Brandon Jr., whom she adored, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to thank everyone all acts of love, kindness and support during such a difficult time.

I know her two boys are surrounded with loving people. That is because they are so loving. Losing anyone is hard, but losing your mother is always a tough one. Her absences here means she is now with our true Father.
