So I Lived

A Tribute to Antonio Hardy II

I came into this world with a story to write, With dreams in my heart and a future in sight. I walked through this life in my own special way, Leaving memories that time cannot take away.

I laughed, I loved, I stumbled, I grew, I shared pieces of my heart with the people I knew. Through every season, through joy and through pain, I kept moving forward through sunshine and rain.

I was more than a name, more than a face, I was someone's son, someone's family, someone's embrace. And most of all, I was a father who loved his own, Leaving behind a legacy that will forever be known.

Though my journey here has come to an end, My love for my children will never descend. It will live in their hearts, in the things that they do, In every dream they chase and every goal they pursue.

So don't remember me only with tears in your eyes, Remember my laughter beneath open skies. Remember the moments, the stories, the days, And carry my memory in beautiful ways.

When you speak of my life, don't say it was through, Say I lived, I loved, and I made it through. I touched people's lives in ways they may know, And planted seeds that will continue to grow.

And when you gather together to honor my name, Let love—not sorrow—be part of the flame. For although I have left this earthly place, My love and my memory cannot be erased.

So I lived. Not perfectly, but honestly. Not without struggles, but with courage. Not without pain, but with love.

And if my life means anything to you, Let it remind you to cherish each day, Love your family a little harder, Forgive a little sooner, Dream a little bigger, And never take tomorrow for granted.

For my greatest legacy is not what I leave behind—It is the love I placed inside the hearts of those I leave behind.
