Obituary For Blandon Infante' Warfield

Blandon Infante' Warfield

Feb 18, 1971

Jun 8, 2024

Blandon Infante' Warfield, 53, of Louisville departed this life on Saturday, June 8, 2024.

Visitation 11am - 1pm Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at W.T. Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home 3815 Newburg Road. Funeral to follow at 1pm.

On Thursday, February 18, 1971, Donna Mae and Alvin Ellis Warfield, welcomed Blandon Infante' Warfield into this world. He was a beautiful child, with curly hair and a lovely disposition. He was brought home to a large family of brothers and sisters who adored him. He was nicknamed "Bam-Bam" by his mother. Throughout his childhood, the nickname remained and everyone identified him as "Bam-Bam".

Growing up, Blandon accumulated many friends, and some became lifelong friends, but his best friend was his little sister Jenaya, who was born into the family, two years after him. Although he was very tight with all of his siblings, Jenaya and Blandon were the closest in age, so they were "thick as thieves" their entire lives. He also dearly loved and cared for his mother and father, and helped take care of them until their last days with us.

After high school, Blandon enrolled in
Truck Driving School to learn how to drive Semi trucks. Over the road trucking is a job that he loved and enjoyed a great deal. He continued in this career until his health no longer allowed him to drive long distance.
Blandon was a God fearing man, who was a member of St. Stephen Baptist Church. He attended regularly, until his health began to decline.

Blandon was a guy that people loved to be around. He loved to hang out with his close friends. He loved to laugh at foolishness of any kind. Everyone who knew Blandon, knows he was a no nonsense individual, who would not hesitate to let you know what was on his mind, yet, he was quite private when it came to his personal affairs. He was the brother who you loved to have long philosophical conversations with about life. He was responsible, proud, standing on business as a man, strong and trustworthy. He would give you the shirt off his back, if he could and if he needed to. Blandon had a genuine concern for all the people in his life, and he was all about taking care of all of us, and trying not to burden us, even when he was at his sickest. People always use the quote, "That was a good dude", well that was Blandon, a good dude, a good soul, and he will definitely be missed by all of us.

Although Blandon did not have children of his own, coming from a large family, he had tons of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who he loved and adored. He loved visiting them, teasing and messing with them, and always was concerned with their health and wellbeing.

Blandon loved sports, watching the games, and talking about the games with his siblings and friends. His favorite football team was the Pittsburgh Steelers, that he loved trash talking the opposition. He also loved the U of L Cardinals.
Blandon Infante Warfield, 53, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday night, June 8, 2024 at 11:55 P.M., surrounded by his siblings, family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his six siblings; Dawn A. Warfield, Alvita R. Warfield, Kerry A. Warfield, Donna M. Warfield-King (Desmond), Desiree L. Richmond (Sterling), and Jenaya C. Warfield; Stepbrother, Devon Goldsmith. Extended family; Patricia "Molly" Atkins, Cora "Ellen" Jones, Peter Brown, Larry Bowman, and Robert "Jerry" Bowman; 11 nieces and nephews; Evander Warfield, Kerry Warfield, Jr. (Stacy), Valerie Warfield, Camira Warfield, Dionna Warfield, Erica Douglas, Sasha Richmond, Sterling Richmond, III, Jreyanna Warfield and Acacia Warfield; 10 great nieces and nephews; Yohighness, Yomajesty, Princess, Dutchess, Charlie Marie, Lil Ricky, Ja'Ceon, Ka'Liah, Josiah and JoMahri; Lifelong friends, Jance Miller, Junior Mack, Donnie Thomas, Augustus Watts, Jr., Antonio Belmar, Sr., Portia Shoulders, and a host of additional family members and friends.

Blandon was preceded in death by his father, Alvin E. Warfield; mother, Donna Mae Lewis; stepfather, Frank D. Lewis, nephew, Darrell V. Warfield (Lady), and childhood friend, Charles Oglesby.
