DeWayne Antony "Tony" Westmoreland
Louisville - 69, transitioned peacefully in his sleep on Friday, December 25, 2020, at Baptist Health Hospital. He was a member of First Virginia
Avenue Missionary Baptist Church. He was a retired Jefferson County Public School Educator, and worked with the Kentucky Youth Advocates, until his health began to decline. "D.W.", was preceded in death by his father, L. P. Westmoreland, and two brothers, Randal and Fabian Westmoreland. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Brenda Westmoreland; son, Travis Westmoreland; mother, Kathryn M. Westmoreland; sisters, Jacqueline Waldon and Jilder Westmoreland; step daughters, Cheyann (Eric) Pope, LaTashia (Tracy) Coward; grandchildren, TaKishia Coward, Tra'Shon Coward, Tyler Pope; great grandchildren, Taniya Coward-Neal, and Kingston Warner; brother in-law, Charles Singleton; sister in-law, Jorecia Singleton; and host of cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
