William Lamont Woods, 61, of Louisville transitioned on March 25, 2024, at his home.

Visitation 10-12 Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Forest Baptist Church 4500 Petersburg Rd. Funeral to follow at 12 noon. Burial Petersburg Newburg Cemetery.

William Lamont Woods was born in Louisville, Kentucky September 24, 1962, fourth of six sons to parents of Horace Woods and Dorothy Radcliff. William attended school in Louisville, Kentucky, and completed his studies in Joliet, Illinois. William later relocated to San Francisco, California where he met and married Yolanda Woods on June 12, 1990. To this union two children were born, Lance Woods and Tiffany Walker who he both loved dearly.

Living life on life's terms, William moved to Sacramento, California as a single father raising his children. His hobbies included fishing, cooking, watching his favorite sports teams UofL Cardinals and the Sacramento Kings. His greatest joy was spending time with family, friends, and his loving granddaughter Ne'vach.

William was fun, free spirited and full of life. He lit up every room he walked into. William was a faithful member of Forest Baptist Church, where he diligently served where there was a need.

William was a loving and devoted son who loved his mother, Dorothy. He leaves behind to cherish his memory a devoted fiancé' Mayola Bartee; mother, Dorothy Radcliffe; children, Lance Woods and Tiffany Walker; grandchildren Ne'vach and Jenesis; brothers, Darryl, Michael, and Terry; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
