Obituary For Amy Simmons

Amy Hamilton Simmons , 93, of Early Branch, SC, died Monday, November 4th at her residence surrounded by family. Her spirit of love and grace soared to higher heights as she left behind the struggles of this world. Her legacy of tenacity and fortitude will be embraced forever. The hours of visitation will be on Saturday, November 9th, 6-8 pm in the Bethlehem Baptist Church, 13280 Yemassee Hwy, Early Branch, SC. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2:00 pm in the Bethlehem Baptist Church, Early Branch. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Jamie, sorry I wasn’t able to be with y’all during this time of celebrating a life well lived. Amy was a Godly woman filled with so much wisdom and joy. I will always remember the time we spent together as she care for her Brother Bubble ( Marcus Hamilton). She was a caring, compassionate, loving and a joy to be around. She was one of the strongest women I have ever had the pleasure to know. Words cannot describe the many attributes she had. May God continue to comfort you and family. Psalm 91. Mary L. Amy, affectionately known as Chubby, always emplified the meaning of Family being the Village. Amy and our grandmother (Missionary Lueveania Garvin) who Amy referred to as Lou, were the best of friends. My mother, Carolyn, my sister Shanta', myself and our families are blessed and benefited from being a part of this village. Amy's bubbly laughter was always jovial and full of life along with that beautiful smile. Always a hard worker who reached out to those in need - sharing and caring.
