It is with sorrow that we announce the transition from mortality to immortality of Mrs. Argie Lee Carmichael on Monday, May 22, 2023 in Xenia, Ohio. Mrs. Carmichael, 88, was the widow of DeLawrence Carmichael, Sr. A native of Early Branch, SC, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Barnwell and Sallie Boles Barnwell. She attended the Hampton Co., SC schools and was affiliated with the Wilkerson Missionary Baptist Church, Early Branch, SC. In her young adult years, she migrated to Trenton, NJ where she would reside most of her life. In Trenton, she was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and was employed as a nursing assistant in the New Jersey State Hospital for more than 30 years.
She now rests in eternity with her husband, parents, sisters and brothers. Argie Lee leaves a portrait of love to be forever cherished by: her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Visitation: Friday, June 2, 2023, Chapel of Young Funeral Home, Yemassee, SC.
Funeral Service: Saturday, June 3, 2023, 12 noon in the Wilkerson Missionary Baptist Church, 21424 Pocotaligo Rd., Early Branch, SC. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
