Deacon Thomas Goodwin, 78, husband of Shirley Goodwin, of the Jonesville community of Yemassee, SC, died Friday, December 5, 2025 in the Colleton Medical Center, Walterboro, SC. A graduate of Colleton High School, he was retired from the International Longshoreman's Association, (ILA) Local #1422, Charleston, SC.
He was a faithful member of the Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, Sheldon, SC, where he served with the Board of Deacons, as a Choir Member and with the Food Bank.
Deacon Goodwin was very community oriented and served annually with the Jonesville Christmas Parade Committee. His friendly manner and warm personality were known throughout the Lowcountry.
His legacy will be embraced and cherished by his wife, children, siblings. family and community.
