Mother Emma Riley was truly a jewel; very soft spoken; I recalled not long ago she came to St. Phillip Baptist Church; and began to sing; "If It had not been For the Lord on My Side" Tell me where would I be. She will be missed, however; heaven has gained a sweet angel. Sleep on Mrs. Emma we all loved you; but God loved you best.

We greatly appreciate all that cousin Emma gave, her time at Easter and summer programs at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church brought all the kids in the community together. Her songbird voice and soft smile will always be remembered, in the heart. Thank you, cousin Emma for singing to David every time you would visit your aunt (my Grandma) Lena and David would just cry and cry until you sung him to sleep. Beautiful memories and thank you cousin Freddy and Mildred for always taking such good care of cousin Emma.
