Mrs. Frances Oliver Parker, native of Yemassee, SC, and self-described "planter of seeds", left us on April 24, 2023 to tend to her heavenly garden. Frances Parker served in many roles, including wife of the late Rev. Joe L. Parker, entrepreneur, Insurance agent and distinguished First Lady of Wayside Baptist Church, Brooklyn NY for 30 years. Her most important work there involved the seeds she planted in Wayside's young people to encourage their purpose-driven ideas.

Everyone always asked me why I called you Fran and not aunt Fran. Well that's because you was more like a sister to me.You was someone I could always come to and share my feelings with and know that the advice was always in my best interest. I will deeply miss our times together to talk, laugh, or just enjoy each others company. Forever in my heart, your everloving (sister) niece Niecy
To my Beloved Aunt Frances: We spent a lot of time together. We had many deep conversations and reflections. I would often share my deepest thoughts and experiences with you and knew I was safe and would not hear it from anyone else. You were one of my Role Models growing up and one of the persons I would go to when I needed to talk and get advice. You were an influential part of my success and character as a woman. Thanks for your love, guidance and support. You will always live in my heart. What was once many happy experiences are now great fond memories. Thanks for being the brilliant woman you were! Forever Grateful, Your Loving Niece, Yolanda π
