On Tuesday, December 15, 2020, Frankie Mae Thomas transitioned from this earthly life to life eternal at her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Lexington, NC. Frankie was born October 29, 1948 to Leroy Washington and Hattie Chaneyfield. She married Harry Thomas February 24, 1968 and out of this union 3 children were born. She received her formal education in the public school system in Jasper County. She worked in the restaurant industry for a short time. She was a faithful lifetime member of Second African Baptist Church in Coosawhatchie SC. Frankie will be fondly remembered as a person who was kind and friendly. She was caring and loving, a supportive mother and friend. Those who had the honor and privilege of knowing her never forgot her. She enjoyed spending quiet time with God. Often she could be heard in her room praising God. Even in her final days and hours she never stopped praising God.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Lee Thomas, father Leroy Washington Sr and mother Hattie Chaneyfield.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory three daughters, Rosa Lee (Louis) Smith of Coosawhatchie, SC, Karen (Charles) Mickens of Lexington, NC and Wanda Thomas of Lexington, NC; two grandchildren Michelle Mickens of Winston-Salem , NC and Whitney Mickens of Lexington, NC; two great grandchildren, Joseph and Desmond Turner of Winston-Salem, NC; brothers, Leroy (Joyce) Washington of Envy, SC, Larry Chaneyfield of Woodstock, GA and Mark Washington of Greenville, SC; sisters Ramona (Anthony) Pinckney of Greenville, SC, Sandra (Jimmy) Joiner of Metter, GA, Belinda Chaneyfield of Greenville, SC, Patsy Garrett of Savannah, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She leaves a rich legacy of love and strength to her family and friends.
Visitation: Saturday, December 19th, 3-7 pm in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home.
Funeral: Sunday, December 20th 1:00 pm in the Frampton Cemetery, Campground Rd., Point South, SC.
IN LIGHT OF THE COVID-19, ALL SERVICES WILL REQUIRE FACIAL MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCING IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE CDC GUIDELINES.

To my family I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom, my cousin. I just heard about her passing today, and it broke my heart. She was a very sweet and loving person. I will truly miss her. We were so saddened to hear of the loss of Deaconess Frankie. She was such a beautiful soul, inside and out. Praying for Gods peace that surpasses all understanding for the Thomas family.
