Our beloved Jacqueline Yvonne Murray, 57, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 25, 2021. Jacqueline better known as "Jackie" or "Aunt Jackie" was born on September 17, 1964 at Flower-Fifth Avenue Hospital located in the heart of Manhattan, New York. She is the youngest of fourteen beautiful children of the late Earl Murray Sr. and Gertie Mae Garner Murray. In 1977 Jackie settled in North Carolina where she became a postal worker sorting through incoming letters and a home health aide assisting and providing basic routine care.

Jackie is a sister who is enduring, gentle, considerate, and always willing to lend a hand to help. She’s that sister who would seek God on your behalf and deliver bible verses to offer strength, hope, and peace. She’s that sister who is inspirational, vibrant, outgoing, fun, and the one with the witty sense of humor. She’s that sister who would light up the room with just her presence alone and we are so grateful to have had a sister like her for all these years. Our sister you will truly be missed unconditionally and you will always be remembered and never forgotten.

Jackie is that aunt who played the mothering roll in most of her nieces and nephews lives. From a very young age we witnessed her unwavering love for her entire family. She always expressed her selflessness by putting her family first and herself last. She enjoyed passing onto us the knowledge, love and prayers that she witnessed and was gifted to her by her mother and father. She kept a smile on her face, she was full of life, laughter and so many jokes. She’s that aunt that would chastise us but love on us at the same time. She’s that aunt that would always remind us of how special and gifted we are. She’s that aunt that you could reminisce, laugh and cry with. She’s that aunt that emphasized the power of prayer and would always pray over us, for us, and with us. She’s that aunt that we could constantly call on. She’s that aunt that would hold us close and tell us how much she loved us.

Jackie is preceded in death by her mother Gertie Mae Garner Murray and her father Earl Murray Sr. along with three sisters: Gertie Murray, Dorothy Murray Harris, Minnie Lee Sapp, and four brothers: David Murray, Charles Murray, James Murray, and Robert Murray. She is survived by three sisters: Beatrice Murray Rogers (Concord, NC), Betty Murray Butler (Bronx, NY), Kathleen Murray (Concord, NC) and three brothers: Carl Murray (Charlotte, NC), Earl Murray Jr. (Augusta, GA), and Sammy Murray (Manning, SC). Two sisters-in-law: Edith Murray (wife of Sammy), Mary Murray (wife of Robert) and two brothers-in-law: Sidney Rogers (husband of Beatrice), John Butler (husband of Betty), and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation: Friday, November 5th, 5-7 pm in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home, 109 Yemassee Hwy, Yemassee, SC.

Graveside service: Saturday, November 6th, twelve o'clock noon in the St. Jude Cemetery, 809 Riley Street, Yemassee, SC.

All services will be conducted in accordance with CDC guidelines, mask and social distance in light of the COVID 19 pandemic.
