Joseph Smart, Sr., 67, of Davidson Tower Rd., Yemassee, SC, exchanged his earthly address for heavenly heights on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family. Joseph is the husband of Fannie W. Smart and the son of the late Rosa Smart Ellis, and step-son of the late Johnny Ellis, Sr. He was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School, Class of 1976, Varnville, SC. Most of his life, he was employed as a security guard and was retired from the Port Royal Plantation, Hilton Head Island, SC. Joseph's warm and friendly manner endeared him to the hearts of his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, loved one and friends.
Visitation: Friday, December 13th, 5-7 pm in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life Service: Saturday, December 14th, eleven o'clock am in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Ellis Cemetery, Varnville, SC.
