To Mr. LB's family. Our Lord wants us to love and that is what he did. It is such a blessing to see God's commandment at work in this world. Showing love, true love. God's love. May the God of comfort be with you all. May his peace keep you all. May his grace and mercy be with all of you continually. Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted. Love. Pastor Kenner.
Mr. LB was a wonderful man. I met him at church. He always asked about my family. Just so loving and kind. He was willing to play the instruments. He talked with the kids. He volunteered. He said I am going to fill this whole side with my family. And although he was not there, three generations of his family was represented in the House of God one Sunday. And I thought my God is so amazing! So Mr. LB, I will see you on the other side. And to his family please be encouraged he touched the lives of so many!- With love, Sparklees
Remembering Lavern Barnwell Sr. BKA (LB)I was playing the organ at Universal Christian Holiness Church in Nashville and he came and volunteered to play the drums. Well he go on them and when his daughter entered the church she had the biggest smile on her face to see her dad playing the drums. After church he told me that all we need is a little practice and we will be alright. I love how he just wanted to be a servant for the Lord. Thanks for your service. Praying for the family.

Daddy, you were the embodiment of love and kindness. You were my first friend, steadfast protector, and guiding star. Your gentle spirit and kind heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing you. You had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel loved and valued, and your warmth was a constant source of comfort.
Your love was the foundation upon which I built my life. You taught me the beauty of life's simple pleasures. Your lessons will stay with me forever, guiding me as I navigate my journey.
You were always there in moments of joy and sorrow with a comforting word or a reassuring smile. Your faith was a guiding light, showing us the way through life's challenges. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." You embodied this wisdom, living a life of faith and trust in God's plan, and you passed that strength and faith onto us.
Even now, I can hear your laughter in my dreams and feel your love surrounding me. Your spirit is everywhere – in the rustle of the leaves, the whisper of the wind, and the stars twinkle. I know you are watching over me, and your presence is a silent but powerful force that gives me strength.
Daddy, your legacy is one of pure love and endless kindness. I am so grateful for the time we had together, and I will carry your memory in my heart for the rest of my days. You were my hero, my confidant, and my best friend. Life without you is unimaginable, but I find comfort in knowing that you are at peace and that your love continues to light my way.
Thank you for every hug, every word of encouragement, and every moment of joy you brought into my life. Thank you for being the most wonderful father anyone could ask for. I will strive to live a life that honors your memory, filled with love, kindness, and a bit of your magic.
Rest peacefully, my darling Daddy. Until we meet again, I will hold onto the love you gave me and cherish the beautiful memories we created. As you always believed, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want" (Psalm 23:1). We love you more than words can say, now and forever.❤️
Love Always, Dennis & Alison Johnson (son-in-love & daughter) Princess, Devin & Darrell (grandkids)
