Resting in God's eternal care, Missionary Dora Badger Patterson transitioned from mortality to immortality on Wednesday, June 10th at her residence in the Fennell Hill community of Yemassee. Missionary Patterson, 79, was the widow of the late First Sergeant (Ret. USMC) James D. Patterson, Jr. She was the daughter of the late Missionary Ethel Washington Badger and Deacon John Badger. The Mother of the Fennell Hill New Church of Christ, she was retired as a Special Education Assistant with the Hampton County School District No. 1. Visitation: Walk-thru on Monday, June 15, 2020 5-7pm in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home.
Farewell viewing: Tuesday, June 16, 2020 12 noon in the Sanctuary of the Fennell Hill New Church of Christ, 970 Tulifinny Road, Yemassee, SC. Burial will follow in the Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC. The Center for Disease Control Guidelines will be adhered to in all services in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
We ask that you lift our family in prayer as they honor the life and cherish memories of their endearing mother, grandmother, sister, and loved one.

Mrs.Patterson was mama Patterson! every time I see saw her she would made me laugh. We always shared a joke or to with each other.The last time we seen each other we laugh and talked about my last name Patterson too. It's alot I can say about her.
