With a humbled heart, we pause to celebrate the life of Ms. Janet Washington, 73. Ms. Washington departed from the walks of this life on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, while surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home in Walterboro, South Carolina. A native of the Roadside Community of Yemassee, South Carolina; Ms. Washington was affectionately known as “Duck” and was the matriarch of her family. A mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend; the essence of her memories will forever be cherished by all who celebrate her life.
