In God's wise providence, He has called the spirit of Ms. Linda Butler Riley from labor to reward on Monday, September 21, 2020 in the Medical University Hospital, Charleston, SC. She was the daughter of the late Leola Greene Butler and Lawrence Butler, Sr. Linda grew up under the watchful eyes of her maternal grandparents, the late Robert "Bob" and Tena Greene. She was a graduate of Ridgeland High School (Class of 1973). Linda was a resident of the Point South community of Yemassee. For many years she was employed as a social worker with the SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs. Her memories shall be cherished by her loving family: three sons, Christopher Butler, Harold Butler, and Kyle Riley, one daughter, Amanda Pollins, her grandchildren, her siblings, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and caring friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 3-7 pm in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home.
Services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, September 26th, Eleven O'clock in the morning in the Mackey's Point Cemetery, Pocotaligo, SC.
Subsequent to the CDC Guidelines for COVID-19, Social distancing and MASK will be required for all visitation and services.
