Time transitioned into eternity as Willie James Rivers, Sr., 81, husband of Marie Smalls Rivers, departed this walk of life on Sunday, February 1, 2026 in the Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort, SC. A resident of Yemassee, SC, he was a native of Burton, SC, and attended the public schools of Beaufort County. He was the son of the late Cato Rivers, Sr. and Albertha Gibbs Rivers. Fond memories are resting in the hearts of his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, loved ones, and friends.
