I met and worked for Lt. Hampton "Big Hamp" at FCI Fort Dix in 1993 and for a number of years we put in work at the prison as well as on the basketball court. Hamp was a heck of a person, friend and mentor which evolved into a brotherhood.

I'm truly sorry for the loss of this great man of the Hampton family. I too will miss him and loved him like a good brother.

When I started in the BOP at Fort Dix he treated me like I had been an officer with him since he started, which made my transition into the Bureau easier. Hamp was a good Man.
