Jacqueline Kennedy Vanderhall, known to all as “Kenny”, passed peacefully from this life early morning at Senior Care of Marion on July 15, 2021 after a gradual decline in health. He was born in Dillon, South Carolina on June 6, 1962 to his loving parents Uler Charlie Vanderhall, Sr. and Hester Green Vanderhall. He was a devoted father, beloved grandfather, hilarious brother, uncle and husband. Kenny attended Dillon High School, graduating with the class of 1980. While in attendance, he participated in the DHS Marching Wildcats playing the trumpet.
Kenny was a very personable man who didn’t hold his tongue on his thoughts or feelings about anything. He was big on brotherhood and caring for one another. He would say one of two things, “I am my brother’s keeper” or “Be nice to the coloreds” which he always did, although he would show that love to anyone of any background.
Preceding him in death, his father: Uler C. Vanderhall, his mother: Hester Vanderhall; three siblings: Uler C. Jr., James Willie Vanderhall and Willie Vanderhall.
Kenny leaves behind his wife, Mary Elizabeth Vanderhall; two children: Jessica Vanderhall and Kennedy Vanderhall; siblings: Mary Vanderhall Bethea, Henry (Sharese) Caulder, Rosa Caulder and Willie Allen all of Dillon, SC; Evon Vanderhall, David Harris, Ronald Nicholas (Tameika) Vanderhall of Willingboro, NJ, Ronald and Elizabeth of Finksburgs, MD, Alexander (Almeta) Vanderhall all of Elizabeth, NJ, Yolanda (John) McClam of Connecticut and Ruth Leggett of Atlanta, GA; two sisters-in-law: Kimberly Vanderhall and Annie Vanderhall both of Dillon, SC and kinship with several half-sisters, brothers and in-laws. He also leaves behind five grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends.
May God be with all who new your love and wittiness. We "cut up" a lot while in the band. It was a pleasure knowing you.
A candle was lit to honor you at the Highschool reunion OCT 2023.
