We are sorry for your loss;however, we praise and thank God for James time on earth. We pray that the family and friends will lean into God's embrace and let Him carry and comfort y'all during this time of sorrow and grief. James and Kevin [KK] played ball on the same team "The mighty A's" at Gresham Park. We will forever keep your family in prayer.
I'm so glad to have met James way back in 1982 @ Gresham Park. We were teammates on the 80lb team that went 11-0. I would occasionally run into James after the season ended because we didn't play on the same team any longer after that. I would go see him play during Baseball season along with my other friends from Gresham. We lost contact for several years, but we ran into each other at a mutual friend cookout when he was home on break from Duke University. We were inseparable ever since! I'm going to really miss my friend/brother. Rest well my guy! 🙏🏾. Love you bro! 😢
From the very first day we met in high school, James stood out—not through loud words, but through his quiet kindness and sincere spirit. He was always courteous, always genuine in his actions. That unforgettable, million dollar smile of his could light up any room!! James greeted everyone with warmth and a natural sense of connection and he'll be missed immensely. He can now fly free, in the loving arms of God—where his light will continue to shine, forever.
Sending heartfelt condolences, love, and comforting light to his family.
