Mother Mary Alice Cates, of Stone Mountain, passed Thursday, October 21, 2021. Celebration of Life Services will be held Friday, October 29, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at The Covenant Church, 1700 Corey Blvd., Decatur, GA., with remains placed instate at 10:00 A.M. Elder Quincy L. Carswell, II, Pastor, Officiating. Interment, Washington Memorial Gardens, Decatur, GA. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and great-great-great grandmother, who was a very funny, telling soul, and a devoted member of The Covenant Church. Mother Cates is survived by daughter, Delores Ealey; and son, Nathaniel (Janie Bell) Cates. The family will recieve friends Thursday, October 28, 2021, 12:00 NOON until 7:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
