Obituary For Barbara Russell
Barbara Wingate Russell, 95, of Lincolnton, North Carolina transitioned peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate.
She was born in Cortland County, New York on December 18, 1930 to the late Lloyd Wingate and Irene Farrell Wingate
She was raised on her family’s farm in Farrington, North Carolina, before relocating to New York. In 1950, she returned to North Carolina, where she remained for the rest of her life. Barbara was a devoted mother who was very active in the lives of her children.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Christina Lynn Russell of Lincolnton, North Carolina; her son, David Reed Russell of Lincolnton, North Carolina; and her granddaughter, Katherine Russell of Raleigh, North Carolina.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
