Mrs. Betty Jean Bostic, 70, of Lincolnton, North Carolina transitioned on May 30, 2026 at Frye Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina on October 16, 1955 to the late William Henry Bryant and Willie Mae Fulton Bryant.
Betty was a member of Oak Grove AME Zion Church. She graduated from Lincolnton High School, Class of 1973. She retired from Duke Energy.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Providence Missionary Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial is to follow at Oak Grove AME Zion Church Cemetery.
A public viewing will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the funeral home from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

I'm so glad that we met Betty, I enjoyed you from the beginning. You became my best friend! Always calling and scheduling lunch and dinner dates for us. Occasionally, inviting Tameika and Cecilia, our daughters. And, I know that I was special to you also. And, that you truly loved me by your actions! You always referred to me as Grandma Rivers. Aunt Betty was a sweet lady. Always strived on family events, dinners and reunions. Loved doing things to keep our families together and united.
