Obituary For Bobby Bowden

Mr. Bobby Glen Bowden age 90 of Lincolnton, NC transitioned on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate, Charlotte, North Carolina He was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina on April 4, 1931 to the late Doc Bowden and Annie Mae Nichols Bowden.

He attended public school at El Bethel. He retired from Vermont American, After retirement he drove for TLC Transportation and Salem Industries. He was a Faithful member of Hinton Memorial United Methodist church

Funeral service is Friday, September 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Hinton Memorial United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church on Friday. There will be a public walk through on Thursday at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son Robert (Penny Nichols) Bowden, a daughter, Barbara Hopper (James) Maddox , one sister, Petronia Bowden Abbott, three grandchildren, Dana Hopper, Robert Bartise Bowden, Amalia Constance Bowden; three great grandchildren, Donta Hopper, sr., Kee`vonta Hopper, Dakiyah Wilkins; one great great grandchild, Donta Hopper, Jr.
