Obituary For George Steele

Mr. George Albert Steele age 72 of Catawba, North Carolina transitioned on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Gordon Hospice House, Statesville, North Carolina.

He was born in Alexander County, North Carolina on October 10, 1950 to the late Asa Thurston Steele and Lois Carlton Steele.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Carmel Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

There will be a public walkthrough held Friday, May 12, 2023 at the Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Uncle George was one of the Most humble, and respectable men of his generation. Never had anything bad to say about anyone. His presence on earth will be truly missed.

Love, hugs and prayers to the Steele family. George was always a loving and caring father, husband and friend. I have so many memories of him from my childhood. I know he will be missed dearly.

I worked with Brenda at Sears and got to know George that way. He was a really good man and I'm glad Diane and I got to know him. Our prayers are with the family.

George and I were the first coaches for the White Sox Walk & Roll League. I had not seen him in a very long time, but have fond memories of our time together. I send my deepest condolences to the family! May God Bless! Charlie Miller
