Obituary For Georgia Sanford
Ms. Georgia Ruth Sanford, 93, of Charlotte, North Carolina, transitioned on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Atrium Health Main – Charlotte, North Carolina
She was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina, on September 15, 1932, to the late Henry Sanford and Susie Nichols Sanford.
She graduated from Shaw University with a bachelor’s degree and later enjoyed a career as a school teacher before retiring.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at 11:30 a.m.
Burial will follow in Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
