Rev. Gloria Jean Maddox Easter, 79, of Lincolnton, North Carolina transitioned peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Atrium Health-Lincoln, Lincolnton, North Carolina.
She was born in Fulton County, Georgia on September 16, 1946 to the late Elder Prince Oscar Maddox and Eva Farley Maddox.
Gloria was a member of Coulter’s Grove A.M.E. Zion Church and Pastor of Mt. Vernon A.M.E. Zion Church in Statesville, North Carolina.
Funeral Service is Friday, October 17, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Covenant Church located at 2168 Gastonia Highway, Lincolnton, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and burial will follow at Coulter’s Grove A.M.E. Zion Church cemetery located at 4513 Startown Road, Newton, NC.
There will be no public viewing on Thursday!

Rev. Gloria Easter was a true matriarch of her family. She cherished her with so much love and compassion. She will be missed and I am grateful to have met her.
