Mr. James Calvin Phelps, 81, of Hickory, North Carolina transitioned on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, North Carolina.
He was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina on October 20, 1944 to the late Henry Phelps and Elsie Mae Gardner Phelps.
Funeral Service will be Monday, March 30, 2026 in White’s Family Chapel at Ebony & White’s Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
There will be a public viewing on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at the funeral home from 5:30 until 6:30
The family will be at the home of his sister Velmon Patterson in Iron Station, North Carolina.
