James, as I knew him as one of my instructors that I employed at Gaston College, was the best of mankind- kind, dignified, caring, funny, and a true gentleman. I knew him for over 15 years. One of my fondest memories was being invited to and attending his 70th birthday dinner, where I met his impressive family. He offered comfort after my brother, Daddy, Mama and daughter's deaths. He never failed to stop by and speak to me and we had great chats. He was admired, well-respected and loved by his students and fellow instructors. I trusted his advice, relied on his expertise and leaned on him as a colleague and more importantly, friend. I will miss him, his slow laugh, and easy smile. Beth Hollars, former Director of Continuing Ed

It is comforting to know the Bible's promise for the near future when God will wipe away our tears and death will be no more, Revelation chapter 21 verse 3 and 4.
