Obituary For John Fortenberry
Mr. John Clark “Bish” Fortenberry age 61 of Newton, North Carolina transitioned on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at in Gastonia, North Carolina.
He was born in Catawba County, North Carolina on June 20, 1961 to the late Walter Quilmer Fortenberry and Hyson Mae Clark Fortenberry.
John graduated from East Lincoln High School and attended Gaston College. He worked at Industrial Fabricators, Inc. He was affectionately called "Bish" by his family and friends. John was very smart, intelligent and likeable with a great sense of humor. He was very gifted with his hands. He enjoyed fishing.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Terri W. Fortenberry of the home; one son and his wife, Angus Lee Fortenberry and Elizabeth of Greenville, North Carolina; one daughter, Amber Leigh Fortenberry of Iron Station, North Caroloina; four grandchildren, Rush, Jaycee, Swain, Axl; one brother, Jim Fortenberry of Iron Station, North Carolina; one sister, Barbara Fortenberry of Iron Station, North Carolina.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the home of Amber Fortenberry located at Will Schronce Road, Iron Station, North Carolina
