Mr. Johnnie Luther Blalock, Sr. age 74, of Dallas, North Carolina transitioned on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at his residence.
He was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina on October 6, 1948 to the late V.Q. Blalock, Sr. and Lillian Foster Blalock.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in White’s Family Chapel with burial to follow in Gaston Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. There will be a public walk through on Friday at the Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

While I had not met Johnnie Blalock, I have vivid memories of his Grandfather, his father V.Q. Blalock, his Uncles Ray and Martin's visits to My Great Grandmother's/My-home in Lincolnton, N.C. Without fail, they would make an annual trek to visit/check on "Cousin Dora," as they called her. Sadly, I have lost direct contact with the Blalock branch of our Family. I am truly sorry to learn of Cousin Johnnie's passing and extend my sincere condolences to his siblings, his spouse, children and other members of his/our extended Family. May he Rest in Peace.
