Obituary For Pearline Friday
Mrs. Pearline Elaine Wingate Friday, 74, of Charlotte, North Carolina departed this life on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at Atrium Health – Main, Charlotte, North Carolina.
She was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina on September 19, 1951 to the late Thomas Wingate and Elizabeth Rozzell Wingate.
Elaine was a member of Tucker’s Grove Church. She graduated from East Lincoln High School, class of 1969 and attended Livingstone College.
Funeral services will be held, Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Tucker’s Grove Church at 1:00 p.m. The family receive friends one hour prior to the service at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A public viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
Services of comfort are entrusted to Ebony & White’s Funeral Service.

To Mr. Larry and family, Ms. Elaine was such a beautiful person inside and out. I'm so grateful to have known her as my neighbor over the years. God has truly blessed us with an angel. Sending my love and heartfelt condolences.

My deepest condolences to the entire family. Elaine, Ida Mae, and I were such close phone buddies—being first cousins meant we had a lifetime of stories to share. I'll always smile when I think about how Elaine was such a "long talker," and I truly cherished that infectious laughter of hers. We always joked that each of us was her favorite! I am holding onto all the wonderful memories we shared, and I pray that God grants the family strength and comfort during this difficult time.

Elaine and I worked together for a long time. She was an absolute joy to work with and even when I moved away she made sure to keep in touch. I wish her family peace during this time.
