Obituary For Phyllis Johnson
Mrs. Phyllis Alberta “Ann” Russell Johnson, 85, transitioned peacefully on her birthday at her residence on Friday, August 29, 2025.
She was born in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina on August 29, 1940 to the late Salmon Russell and Luvenia Sowell-Jackson.
She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. She graduated from Newbold High School.
Funeral service is Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. in White’s Family Chapel with burial to follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
There will be a public viewing on Friday, September 5, 2025 at the funeral home from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
