Ms. Vertie E. Friday age 91 of Iron Station, North Carolina transitioned peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2022 at her residence.
She was born in Gaston County, North Carolina on May 26, 1931 to the late Robert Luther Friday and Maggie Morrison Friday. She was a member of Gold Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a Missionary and on the Kitchen Committee. She was employed with the Arthur Sellers family as a housekeeper.
Funeral service is Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Gold Hill Missionary Baptist church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
There will be a public walk through on Friday from 5:00 until 6:30 pm at the funeral home.
Masks required for all services!!!

My last memory of Aunt Vertie is when she was in her niece Deirdre's wedding and her make-up was beautiful. She was so happy for Deirdre, that her smile was contagious. She will be missed, God bless the family.
