Obituary For Wardell Thompson
Mr. Wardell Dewitt Thompson, 74, of Denver, North Carolina transitioned peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
He was born in Iredell County, North Carolina on January 12, 1951 to the late Haywood Wardell Thompson and Rosa Lee Connor Thompson.
Wardell graduated from East Lincoln High School, class of 1969 and Catawba Valley Community College in 1971. He retired from Timken with thirty eight years of service. He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church.
Funeral service will be Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at St. James United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
There will be a public viewing at the funeral home on Friday, December 26, 2025 from 4:30 until 6:00 p.m.
