William Robert Aniba, 53, of Shelby, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on August 20, 2026.
William was a kind and resilient person who had a gift for making others smile and laugh. He loved his friends and family deeply, and his kindness, warmth, and positive spirit touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Above all, William’s greatest joy in life was being a father. His love for his family was at the heart of who he was, and the memories he created with those he loved will be cherished forever.
William leaves behind his mother, Maria Aniba, and his daughter, Violet Aniba. Though he is no longer with us, his love, laughter, and the happiness he brought into the lives of others will remain in their hearts forever.
No formal funeral or memorial service will be held. The family kindly asks for privacy as they grieve, remember, and honor William’s life in their own way.

You will be missed more than you will ever know. The hole in my heart will never be filled. You were the most amazing person that I have ever known. This world will never be the same. I love you, always.
I met Wil when Violet was probably around 5-6 years old and he immediately became one of my favorite people and eventually we became close friends. I always wanted the best for him, he overcame many challenges and his spirit is resilient, humble and kind. I'll always love him as my friend and brother. We all miss him and I pray for his daughters, wonderful sister snd her family as well as his mother and anyone who was close to him. I know there's a huge wound to mend. Wil was and will always be to me one of the most personable and special people I've met had had the pleasure to call friend. God bless
