Sunrise . . . Nero was born on August 20, 1947 in Cherokee County, South Carolina and was a son of the late J. W. Wilson and the late Ruth Kilgore Wilson Roach.
A Life Well Lived. . . Nero A. Wilson was a graduate of Highland Senior High School, Class of 1966 in Gastonia, North Carolina. His employment consisted of working at the North Carolina Department of Corrections as a Prison Guard, Gaston County Textile and a Material Team Leader at Danaher Tool Group. A strong love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in whom he confessed and accepted at an early age allowed him later in life to join the church next door to his house in the Fall of 2008, where he became a member of the St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church. There, he developed a deeper love for the truth of the word of God preached by Pastor Darial A. Jackson, who was his dearest friend. “Dennis” which he liked to be called, had a love for fishing and would take his three oldest sons, Denan, Jimmy, and Ethan, to the Coast during his vacation time.
Sunset… He departed this life on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Alexandria Place Nursing Home in Gastonia, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by a son: Cornelius Lynch; two sisters: Joyce Ann Wilson Carr and Louenia Wilson Tate.

My thoughts and prayers to the family of Mr. Dennis Wilson. Mr. Wilson was one of my neighbors and could be seen walking in the neighborhood with his stick in his hand and a smile on his face.
Mr. Dennis would always greet you with a smile and a wave of the hand.
May God comfort his family and give them peace that surpasses all understanding.
I recall seeing Mr. Dennis for the last time, I believe, on his front porch, just relaxing and this wasn't long ago.
I did not know that this would be the last time that I would see his smile and the wave of his hand on this side.
Mr. Dennis, you take your rest and your family hold to God's unchanging hand and to the wonderful, cherished memories that you all shared.
Wilson Family may your wonderful and fund memories of your love give you much joy, laughter and peace throughout the days and years ahead.
May God bless you.
"Absent from the body, but present with the Lord", Glory be to GOD Almighty.

I will cherish the fond memories I have of Dennis. He was always a sweet and kind gentleman. I will miss our conversations and especially telling him "it sure can" when he would say "can a pig fly" just to hear him laugh. He was such a kidder and a great neighbor and friend! May God comfort the family now and in the days ahead. Marcella McCaskill and Family
