William "Glenn" Hoyle entered into eternal rest peacefully at his home on Monday, May 17, 2021. He was the son of William Renix Hoyle and Ruth Hudson Hoyle. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather (affectionately known as Papi).
He honorably served his country as a member of the 25th Infantry Division as a Parachute Rigger during his time in the Vietnam War and received a Bronze Star.
After serving in the military, he begun a career as a truck driver that lasted over forty years. Driving an eighteen wheeler or riding his Harley Davidson, the open road was freeing to him. He always had a smile on his face and everyone that knew him, knew that he had a joke on his lips.
He's preceded in death by his father, William Renix Hoyle, mother, Ruth Hudson Hoyle, sister, Torrience L. Love, and brother, Bill Martin Jr.
Left to cherish his precious memories, his wife, Julia M Hoyle of the home, son, William Travis Hoyle of Gilbert, Arizona, grandson, Zion Kappa Hoyle, Gilbert, Arizona, two sisters, Florence Manual, Dallas, NC, Johnnie M Hoyle, Dallas, NC, One brother, Clarence Jerome Hoyle (Ada), Dallas, NC, Five sister-in-laws, Anna P. Myers (Philip), Charlotte, NC, Cynthia M. Littlejohn, Charlotte, NC, Mary E. Woods, Gastonia, NC, Andrea Ledbetter, Clover, SC, two brother-in-laws, Ernest J. McBeth (Tesha), Asheville, NC, Haywood J. McBeth, Charlotte NC. A host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. A special friend and cousin, Victor Hoyle.
Viewing at the funeral home on Thursday; May 20, 2021 from 4 until 6
A private funeral will be held for the family.
Wow, I hate I just had to find out like this, and I hate I didn't get to attend services for Glenn. We travelled a lot of miles together in them ol trucks. The hours we spent on the phone or meet in the same area to have lunch. He become like a dad to me. I'm gonna miss you Glenn. Thank you for all the talks and laughs and advice you gave me. I will forever cherish the time and the memories. I send my sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family. He really loved and cherished you all.

Glen was always humble and had a beautiful smile. I saw him in church one Sunday he knew me right off hugged and embraced me. We hadn't seen each in years. I came home smiling I had seen Peter Rabbit! My prayers are with you Julia and Family🙏PP
