Carson was wonderful to work with and had such a great sense of humor. He always brightened my day!
I remember him well. Thankful for his happy smile. God bless his soul.
Carson was easily the best part of many breakfasts at Sweet Briar. Big smiles, laughter, friendship. Speaking on behalf of House 01, we honor your memory. Sending sincere and profound condolences to your family, Aimee Brett Kass
I remember Carson so fondly from Sweet Briar. He always greeted us so warmly and thoroughly enjoyed the way we enjoyed his delicious offerings. I vividly remember his smile and laugh.
May his soul rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and loved ones at this time of great loss. ❤️🙏
He was one of my first friends, I am heart broken. He knew my omelet order by heart, he would always make sure I had my gluten free food available. He even gave me the biggest role of suliphane to prank my dorm hall. We knew all of the same people from my home town. He called me sunshine and always knew when I was off.... "Whats a matter sunshine? Don't let those clouds cover your smile." My heartfelt sympathy to his family, he was one of a kind.
Well, Unc. "Ole Carl" This is a tough one for me, as I think back through years. I thought you had the biggest arms God had ever made"lol". As a kid, I never knew chicken could be fried in the oven. I remember mom loading Quinn, DeDee, & me in her green volkswagen on Friday night and headed to the country. The adults would be up all night playing tonk, spades, bid whist and eating "Hot Sweet Briar Chicken" those were some fun times. I, also remember hunting with BJ, Bird and you showing me how to field dress a deer for the fisrt time. Thank you "Unc" for the years of laughter and for the stories you shared. No one could a room in laughter like you. [John 3:16] Your nephew Benny. Love ya!
My heartfelt and deepest sympathy to the family. Carson would make anyone laugh! May you find comfort in the words of Matthew 5:4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted ". Praying God may comfort you as you mourn. Brenda Toliver Campbell, Amherst,VA
To the Family: "God gives strength to the weary and to them that have no might he increase their strength." Whenever I saw Carson, he would be smiling and joking about something but never fail to ask how was everyone. He will truly be missed. My condolences to the family. Praying God's comfort and strength for the days ahead as you mourn the loss of your loved one!
Carson was a friend that I first met at SBC. We shared lots of stories, and knew lots of the same "folk". He told once after I cooked a country ham for staff lunch with honoredguest, President Muhlenfeld that he did not know a "white woman could cook like that", but I needed him to slice it. I was honored by his compliment and when I would bump into him, I so enjoyed reminiscing. A caring, kind and hard working man. Prayers that the many memories fill the void and the promise that he is walking with Jesus.
Too the Family Matthew 5-4 Blessed are those who morn for they shall be comforted. In Gods arms Love abides Be not dismade God will take care of you ❤️33

Gone away from us, but you will never be forgotten, your footprints in our childhood memories up until you took your last breath will near be forgotten. Thank you for being a neighborhood role model. As a kid you would send us to "Catch some Air", on Friday night GOD gave you your wings, and the Air (wind) beneath them. Fly up to Heavenly Gates, and when they open, fly in and tell your life store the way you could be the only one to tell it.
Love you Uncle Carson.
