To The Family of Jasper Carter,
My brothers Curtis and Leonard, my sisters Ruth and Jeanette, and myself Irene had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Carter last year. We have been looking for family who is on our fathers side. His name was William Martin and his mother was Nancy Martin and the house where she was supposed to have lived was at the top of the hill where he lived but was burned down. Mr. Carter after being contacted by another family member who lives in Martinsville LaVarra Hagwood said we could come over while we were in the area. We were so excited we were able to come and just see the ground where perhaps our father and grandmother may have walked.
Please know we will always remember and be thankful to Mr. Carter for his generosity and kindness. He was willing to share his time and information he had with total strangers
We are truly sorry to hear of his passing but glad to have met him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you The Martin Family Curtis, Leonard, Ruth, Irene and Jeanette
So very sorry for your loss and our prayers are with the Carter Family. Charles Aaron
Mr Carter is a good man I can remember when you talk to him he just give you that big smile all the time he will truly be miss.. praying for the Family’s
I would come to see you over the holidays and get my favorite pie and I would argue with anybody about your pies ..because no ones could compare to yours...eventually your pie turned into a joke ...But I love you papa and I'm gonna miss you so much and seeing you and watching you light up from seeing me since it would be a while in between before I could come see you but you will always have a special place in my heart ...may you rest in everlasting peace
Jasper was a great man, you could tell when he was happy or excited when he was talking to you he could barely contain himself, if he liked you he would always pick with you, me and him would pick with each other everyday. I remember taking the trash out sometimes and if I wasn't watching he would lock me out, sometimes I would catch him peeping around the corner trying to lock me out and he would just start laughing and act like he would walk off he would peep back around and if I wasn't looking he'd come shuffling those feet fast and lock me and all I would hear was him laughing. Gonna miss you buddy
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
