Mr. Niblett was one of the nicest men I have encountered in my life. I played for his son Jason on the very first "Heat of Virginia" basketball team. He used to bring food to the team from time to time and always offered kind words of wisdom.
God strengthens us by giving us "the power beyond what is normal" to make it through each passing day. Psalm 46:1 says: "God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress." Nahum 1:7; God is "a stronghold in the day of distress. He is mindful of ["takes care of"] those seeking refuge in him." Please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember God loves you and he cares for you! (Psalm 36:7; 1 Peter 5:7)
I lived in Martinsville from 2003 to 2008 and first met Jesse when he was recommended to me by someone to aerate my yard. He came to the house probably four times to do this work, always doing it well and making it look better. More importantly, he and I spoke about his family, particularly Jason, whom I got to know a bit when he moved back to the area when he established the Heat basketball academy. We talked about golf a lot, and the rumor I heard was that he was the guy you wanted on your charity scramble team because he could really play. I am sorry for your loss but know you'll find strength in remembering what a fine individual he was and that his impact will be felt for generations. Colin Dunnigan, Jackson, Mississippi

Family, Stand And Know: He Sees, He Hears, And He Will Deliver. God's Love & Peace, Sabrina Holland Tinsley
My name is Hazel Spencer I was a classmate of Jessie the G.W.Carver Class of 1965, I am so sorry to hear of his passing, he was a very friendly and hard working person, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Jason, Angela and Ja'La, I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of Pops. Angela spoke fondly and often of just how wonderful Jesse was in every way. What an amazing man. In all that I learned of him from Angela, one thing was certain-- He sure loved his family more than anything else in this world and he worked very hard, each day, to ensure you all knew it. May he rest in peace and may you all find peace in your generous memories of him. Warmest regards and sympathy, Hillary Holland- VWCC
Jason and Family, I share your pain, but please know you are covered with prayers. I remember the days of your childhood and the support you had from your dad.
